It all started with an IG tag.
My mom Chiqui and I have been looking for an organization that caters to the youth where we can do volunteer work at. The idea was to spread positivity in a concrete way, to provide not just food but education that they don’t get from school or their community, and to boost the confidence of today’s generation.
And so last August 21, we chose to spend the Ninoy Aquino Day with the youth scholars of Project Pearls headed by its founder, Ms Melissa Villa.
These high school and college scholars came from Tondo and Bulacan. Upon their arrival inside the PBSP conference room in Intramuros, we were impressed how behaved, engaged and active they were.

To help fund this outreach, a few months back, my team and I organized a Vision Board Party where the participant’s minimal fee was for this purpose. There, we opened this opportunity to anyone who would be willing to help out and volunteer. Either as a facilitator, photographer, emcee, registration and or welcome committee. Amazingly, it turned out more than what we hoped for! Below is the photo of the Vision Board Fundraising Workshop we did.

The scholars spent 4 hours interacting with their old and new friends, they had fun with the games prepared, they listened intently to their Vision Board Coach and they actually shared their big dreams to their respective groups and facilitators!

The scholars had a hearty lunch courtesy of a generous sponsor, Ms Peggy Bose! They also received giveaways from sponsors Marbee and Giftmate. The youth’s vision boards were also provided by another sponsor all the way from Dubai, Daniel Jose. Most of the materials were provided by Wrap It Up! and the Positivitrix team.

What was extra special about this outreach was that this Vision Board Party, for the first time, was not done by yours truly alone. Aside from the sponsors mentioned above, we thank and acknowledge the following people who contributed their energy, time, and resources to the success of the activity.

We adore Project Pearls because if not for them, we would not have been able to reach out to these teenagers. We also thank Karen, for assisting us all throughout the preparation!
